Deputy Room Leader

Hi my name is Erika and I am Italian. In Italy I attended a Human Sciences High school which gave me the opportunity of an internship in a Nursery before I worked in another childcare setting. During these roles I valued that all children are individuals with their own personalities and needs. I love interacting with the children and I strongly believe that empathy helps to build strong relationships with the children. I love to understand child development and how the children learn.

I came to the UK and was an Au-Pair to two girls, helping them with their daily routines such as getting ready for school, homework , bedtimes etc. I lived with the family for eight months and during this time, I learnt the importance of communication to ensure a calm environment.

In my role as a Deputy Room, I will build on having good communication with the children and the parents so the children are confident coming to nursery and support the staff in my room.

In my spare time I like to cook, enjoy my friends company and I also enjoy historical documentaries.
