Monkey Puzzle Tunbridge Wells is located at 32-34, St Johns Road, Tunbridge Wells. Our nursery is close to the A26 and only a short drive from Tunbridge Wells train station, making us perfect for families working in the local area or commuting to the town centre.
Our friendly and supportive management and team provide a family feel and a home from home approach to childcare focusing on lots of love, nurture and care as priorities alongside our child centred curriculum.
We are proud of creating lots of bright, beautiful and exciting spaces for the children to play and explore providing the highest quality childcare to children aged from 3 months to 5 years.
We take great pride in being part of the vibrant town of Tunbridge Wells and are looking forward to extending and creating further links within the local community with Primary schools and additional services to further support our families with local exciting opportunities.
We are part of an award-winning nursery group, offering high quality childcare in our specially equipped nursery for children aged three months to five years old.
Adding to this, we tailor our care to suit your child’s age. We achieve this by placing children into the following age categories: babies aged three to twelve months, toddlers from 12 to 24 months & toddlers aged 24 months to 36 months, and lastly preschool aged three to five years. Due to our rooms being equipped especially for these ages, we are able to provide that home-from-home feel.
We are very lucky to have extensive outdoor spaces in the nursery and a separate area for both babies and the older children to play and explore. Our outdoor environment offers a rich multi-sensory environment that is full of fun, stimulating and motivating activities for the children and we have specifically created indoor garden areas so all the children are able to enjoy the outdoors all year round.

How creative is this idea? The children are continuing to learn about Lunar New Year, and used the ends of bottles to stamp pinks and red paint onto the tree! This activities intent was to explore Lunar New Year by using different mediums, The children have been extremely interested in recycling too and reusing various materials, so recycled water bottles was such a creative concept. ♻️

January's employee of the month is Hattie! Hattie is newer to our team, and has already been nominated by several of her colleagues for her continued hard work and creativity.
Hattie's engagement with the children is always so lovely to see and she can grasp their attention so well. Hattie also makes the BEST balloon animals, due to her also working as a children's entertainer on the weekends!🎈

🐉Lunar New Year🐉
Today, 8 of our friends from the Discoverers room went out into the local community to see if they could find some food in preparation for Lunar New Year.
We stopped along the way to admire some beautiful art work created by a local artist.....we loved the cats, dogs, bunnies and the house! 🐱🐶🏠🖌
We parked our prams, and went into an international shop. It was amazing to see different food from all around the world, and especially so amazing to buy some to take back for our friends to try! 🌍

Buldak noodles are the best! Carbonara ones! Not for the kids lol it will blow their heads off!! 🤣🤣 We celebrated Luna new year in Vietnam and on one of the days everyone goes to visit their teachers.

🔥Keeping warm🔥
Our Discoverers learned all about how to keep warm with Rosie, when she set up an impromptu fire activity! Rosie is huge on in the moment planning and felt inspired by the colder weather to use this as an opportunity to further develop the children’s knowledge.
The activities intent was for the children to expand their role-play skills by pretending they were roasting marshmallows in the woods! 🏞️The fire was set up with different coloured tissue paper, a light in the centre to imitate the fire, and even some fire cracking sounds playing on the speaker to make it more realistic. 🥰
Despite the fun role-play, there was still an educational aspect of fire safety! 🧯👨🚒

Very inventive
☃️A frosty walk☃️
Today’s outing was a but different to usual after last nights sprinkle❄️
🧣We wrapped up super warm and made our way out with our new shape magnifiers! The children were delighted to see some left over snow and were very eager to explore the world around them.🧣
🧠The children were very excited to use the shape magnifiers and independently created a shape matching game. It is so lovely to watch the children link concepts and relate them to themselves such as noticing the pathway was made if rectangular bricks and quickly finding the rectangle magnifier to match them. As a team we love to support children and help them to scaffold their knowledge to enhance their learning experience!🧠

Good fun but too cold for me 🤣
🐍Hands up if you're as brave as our pre-schoolers?! 🐍
One of our inventors team members bought in this very realistic, life sized snake for the children to explore! They discussed the texture of the snake and were encouraged to treat it very carefully as it it was real.
🔍As children are naturally inquisitive, they had lots of questions and sparked many conversations about how and where snakes live, what they eat and how they move. They also explored the difference between various animals such as reptiles, mammals and birds and how to classify these. 🔍
Here are some fun facts the children learned about reptiles!.......
-They are vertebrates with backbones.
-Their bodies are covered with scales.
-They are cold-blooded.
