We are part of an award-winning nursery group, offering high quality childcare in our specially equipped nursery for children aged three months to five years old.
Adding to this, we tailor our care to suit your child’s age. We achieve this by placing children into the following age categories: babies aged three to twelve months, toddlers from 12 to 24 months & toddlers aged 24 months to 36 months, and lastly preschool aged three to five years. Due to our rooms being equipped especially for these ages, we are able to provide that home-from-home feel.
We are very lucky to have extensive outdoor spaces in the nursery and a separate area for both babies and the older children to play and explore. Our outdoor environment offers a rich multi-sensory environment that is full of fun, stimulating and motivating activities for the children and we have specifically created indoor garden areas so all the children are able to enjoy the outdoors all year round.

🧸Teddy bear picnic🧸
Pre-school had a lovely teddy bears picnic, with the children bringing in their own teddies! The aim of the picnic was to teach the children independence, team work and table etiquette! 🍴
The children helped the adults to lay the table, placing down the table cloths, the plates, the cutlery and the tea cups. The children followed instructions and directions on how to make a sandwich, with the children choosing their toppings and working had to spread this over their bread! 🥪
The children had a lovely afternoon and thoroughly enjoyed their picnic! 🧺🍰 ... See MoreSee Less

⭐️January's employees of the month! ⭐️
We couldn’t possibly pick just one employee to celebrate this month… so we picked two!
Firstly, we would like to recognise Cleo for all her hard work and dedication to progressing her knowledge within the EYFS, planning activities, and the varying areas of safeguarding. Cleo has been willing to listen to all advice and happily welcomes any support to help her skills! Cleo works well as part of our Investigators team and has great bonds with her key children. 💖
We would also like to celebrate Josh, who is our pre-school room leader and our soon-to-be Forest School lead! Josh has worked extremely hard in the pre-school room, supporting the team to expand their knowledge of the outdoor area, the curiosity approach, and looking at ways to weave everyday items into activities to support the children’s knowledge. Josh also has lovely bonds with his key children and works hard to ensure parent partnerships are at the forefront of the preschool team's mind! 💛
Thank you, Cleo and Josh, for all your hard work; we really appreciate all you do! 🥰 ... See MoreSee Less

DIY…..Why not?! 👷🧱🪚
Our pre-schoolers have been engaging in some risk-assessed risky activities! They have explored using a saw, with adult support to create their own houses. Josh started by explaining the golden rules when it comes to using the saw and other tools. 🪚
The children took turns to use the saw, ensuring that it was at the correct angle to ensure it would effectively cut the wood. Once this was done, the children took turns using sandpaper to smooth all the edges and ensure they had no splinters! 🪵
Finally, the children used a real hammer, supported by Josh, and nailed the pieces of wood together creating their own houses! 🔨
The benefits of risk-assessed risky play are endless! 😍 ... See MoreSee Less

This week, we enjoyed a delightful walk as we explored a new park! It was wonderful to see the sun shining again! ☀️
As we strolled down the road, the children engaged enthusiastically with passers-by, greeting them with smiles and plenty of waves! 👋 One of our little friends was so filled with so much excitement that he couldn't stop pointing at everything around him. 🥺
At the park, we listened to a story about a kind koala before quickly rushing to the swings for some fun! Taking turns was a joyous experience, with each child brimming with excitement as they waited for their turn, one friend even shouting “more!!” as they were desperate to go higher and higher! We will definitely return to this park for more fun in the future! 🛝🥰 ... See MoreSee Less

5️⃣Celebrating 5 years of (our camera shy) Jo!!!! 5️⃣
Jo is our wonderful nursery manager, who always goes above and beyond for every team member, child and family. Jo has been working for Monkey Puzzle since the day our Tunbridge Wells site opened, and has progressed the Nursery to a wonderful standard, reflected in our recent ✨GLOWING ✨audits.
During a recent team meeting we asked the team to share some comments about Jo, and what a delight it was to be able to share these with her and show all of our appreciation and gratitude!
To put it quite simply, Jo is the glue that keeps the nursery together, and she is the woman who makes it happen….ALWAYS! 🦸♀️
Feel free to share some love for Jo in the comments 💖 ... See MoreSee Less
