Monkey Puzzle Tunbridge Wells values the importance of parent feedback. We embrace what our families have to say and use this to constantly improve the care we provide and make our offering even better.

Here at Monkey Puzzle Tunbridge Wells, we take pride in the partnerships we build with our families and value the contribution of strong, professional relationships between our team and the families to support our children to thrive. There are many ways in which our team do this such as:

  • As soon as families walk through our door during our tours, we aim to create a feeling of trust by ensuring we are welcoming and open and honest about everyday life here at Monkey Puzzle.
  • All families are welcomed to a series of free settling in sessions to suit their needs, this is to ensure the child’s key person can learn about the child and their family and the family have the opportunity to learn about their child’s key person as well as building a bond with the child to help them feel safe and secure.
  • Staff are always on hand to greet the families at both drop-off and pick-up times. Staff are proactive and initiate daily interactions to ensure a smooth two-way flow of information.
  • Parents can rest assured that they will receive updates throughout the day in relation to their child’s individual care needs being met. Key people complete regular observations and stories of the children to ensure parents are included within their child’s learning and development and home learning outcomes are suggested to enable parents to continue this within the home environment.
  • Parents are often invited to events within the nursery such as parent’s evenings, meet the team evenings and fundraising events to strengthen and celebrate those relationships.

From our most recent parents survey we were inundated with parental engagement which was great to see. We really value your feedback, comments and support!

We created a ‘You Said, We Did’ newsletter which we have shared but here are the highlights:

  • Stronger communication with parents in timely manner keeping them up to date of all news and events
  • Regular staff updates, starters and leavers and updating our staff photo board
  • Key carer info is displayed in rooms, including each child’s buddy keyperson
  • Menu suggestions incorporated into new summer menu
