Supporting and representing our local community are strong focuses for us as we move into 2025. We have already been incredibly active in creating our very own Monkey Puzzle community group where we held a meeting and have gathered lots of ideas of how we can support the children to integrate with the local community, to further their knowledge of what it means to belong.
Our vision is to expand the children’s knowledge and understanding of the world, and promoting them to fully embrace the awe and wonder of the world around them. Our vision includes forming links with local businesses, charities, and giving back to small businesses. It has been a pleasure to see the lovely people of Tunbridge Wells treat the children with such warmth and kindness.
We have already enjoyed:
- Visiting traditional international food shops to purchase foods to celebrate Lunar new year
- Visiting the town and the local park with our shape matchers which we made at nursery and identified similar shapes around the town
- Visiting the Shoe shop for children to learn about measuring their feet and donating artwork for their windows to support their chosen mental health charity
Our plans include:
- Random acts of kindness day – handing out inspiring quotes with our branded sticker on, handing out flowers
- Pancake day – handing out pancakes with the Monkey Puzzle logo on!
- Giving hearts out to help celebrate Valentine’s day!
