Welcome to Monkey Puzzle Tunbridge Wells

Monkey Puzzle Tunbridge Wells is located at 32-34, St Johns Road, Tunbridge Wells. Our nursery is close to the A26 and only a short drive from Tunbridge Wells train station, making us perfect for families working in the local area or commuting to the town centre.

Our friendly and supportive management and team provide a family feel and a home from home approach to childcare focusing on lots of love, nurture and care as priorities alongside our child centred curriculum.

We are proud of creating lots of bright, beautiful and exciting spaces for the children to play and explore providing the highest quality childcare to children aged from 3 months to 5 years.

We take great pride in being part of the vibrant town of Tunbridge Wells and are looking forward to extending and creating further links within the local community with Primary schools and additional services to further support our families with local exciting opportunities.

We are part of an award-winning nursery group, offering high quality childcare in our specially equipped nursery for children aged three months to five years old.

Adding to this, we tailor our care to suit your child’s age. We achieve this by placing children into the following age categories: babies aged three to twelve months, toddlers from 12 to 24 months & toddlers aged 24 months to 36 months, and lastly preschool aged three to five years. Due to our rooms being equipped especially for these ages, we are able to provide that home-from-home feel.

We are very lucky to have extensive outdoor spaces in the nursery and a separate area for both babies and the older children to play and explore. Our outdoor environment offers a rich multi-sensory environment that is full of fun, stimulating and motivating activities for the children and we have specifically created indoor garden areas so all the children are able to enjoy the outdoors all year round.

Hello. I’m Arlind and I am the Owner of Monkey Puzzle Tunbridge Wells. My team and I are dedicated to and passionate about giving every child the best start in life by caring for and supporting them to play, learn and grow in a positive and stimulating environment.

I would love to welcome and show you around our beautiful nursery setting so please get in touch.

A special evening celebrating 4 very special people!

4️⃣In fourth place is our lovely Lisa! Lisa is based within our pre school room and has such a natural affinity with the children, tuning in to their needs and interests. Lisa is extremely resilient and works hard to overcome barriers and challenges. “Lisa’s quiet calm approach puts my child at ease and helps me feel more relaxed about leaving my child here, she provides such comfort and it’s clear to see she really cares about the children!” 🏅

3️⃣In third place winning £400 is the fabulous Ruby, who works in our 2-3 room. Ruby works hard to create unique activities to stretch the children’s abilities and knowledge of the world around them. Ruby taps in to children’s likes, and based activities surrounding this and is a wonderful member of our team. “Ruby has really stretched my children’s abilities and on subjects such as volcanos and the structure of the earth - phenomenal, we are so grateful and she has been so wonderful at supporting his personal development!” 🥉

2️⃣In second place winning an amazing £600 is MOLLY! Molly won second place last year, and has won this again, very well deserved! Molly works with our littlest friends in our baby room, providing high quality care and love to all the babies. “He loves going to nursery and we know he adores his Mol Mol, thanks for all the effort and energy you put in.”

1️⃣Winning our first place prize of £1500 is……ROSIE! 💖 Rosie is based in our toddler room supporting and educating our 1-2 year olds. “Rosie is simply incredible in every way, I have never came across a member of staff who is more welcoming and goes above and beyond for all children, especially her key children, we are so lucky she is our key person! Rosie provides outstanding care and knowing that my daughter adores Rosie makes me feel happy and secure to know my daughter is in excellent hands.” 🥇

Please join us in congratulating these phenomenal team members, very very well deserved! 💖

A HUGE shoutout to our fabulous kitchen team, Ros and Emma who achieved a 5 start hygiene rating in today’s environmental health inspection! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ros and Emma have a very important job of catering for up to 94 children per day, taking into account each child’s individual dietary need, whether it is an allergy, intolerance, preference or a child is weaning. They also create our quarterly menus based on families suggestions and in line with the NHS and EYFS guidelines ensuing all meals are packed with all the necessary nutrients👩‍🍳 👩‍🍳

The children love seeing Ros and Emma around the nursery (whether they are carrying food trays or not!!!)💛

💛⭐️Children in Need Fundraiser⭐️💛

Last week, we organised several fundraising activities to support Children In Need! From a lovely breakfast bar and cake sale running Wednesday to Friday, to a cosy pyjama day on Thursday, and everyone wearing yellow on Friday, it was a great time!
Each room set themselves a challenge involving the number 25 on Wednesday. Babies sang 25 nursery rhymes, toddlers enjoyed 25 books, the 2-3s had a fun dance for 25 minutes, and preschoolers tackled 25 laps of an obstacle course! Pre-school also helped Emma, one of our chefs, to bake some cakes to sell at the bake sale!

We had a wonderful week and are thrilled to announce that we raised an amazing £514.36 through our JustGiving link and cash donations.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who participated and contributed! 💛

💂‍♀️Rememberance day💂‍♀️

Today we went to visit Tunbridge Wells War Memorial to pay our respects and lay a poppy wreath to remember those who fought for our freedom. The children were intrigued by the other wreathes, crosses and messages, asking us to read them out and wanting to learn more. ✝️

We listened intently to The Last Post, and were very respectful and quiet for the 2 minute silence. We were very grateful to be stood very close to the mayor, and watched him lay a wreath too. After the 2 minute silence, a few people came over to us to compliment the children’s behaviour and say a big well done, and let us know how happy it made them to see the children be so respectful! ❤️

Back at Nursery, the team and many children took part with the 2 minute silence too.

“They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.” 💂‍♀️

Good afternoon,

This week we will be fundraising for Children in Need, this charity is close to many of our hearts here at Monkey Puzzle. Please see our just giving link which explains in further detail why we are supporting this charity, you will be able to donate through this link throughout the week, there will also be posters around the nursery with QR codes.

www.justgiving.com/page/monkey-puzzle-tw

We will be kicking off our fundraising activities on Wednesday with a breakfast bar which will run through to Wednesday to Friday mornings. This will then be replaced by a cake sale in the afternoons.

The rooms will be planning an individual challenge/activity that they will be engaging in on the Wednesday, they will provide further information surrounding this shortly.

Thursday we encourage all children and staff to wear their pyjamas.

Friday we encourage all staff and children to wear spots or yellow.

We are really hoping this will be a big success and all support would be greatly appreciated for such a special cause.

Best wishes,

All of the team at MPTW🐵💛 x
