Monkey Puzzle Tunbridge Wells is located at 32-34, St Johns Road, Tunbridge Wells. Our nursery is close to the A26 and only a short drive from Tunbridge Wells train station, making us perfect for families working in the local area or commuting to the town centre.
Our friendly and supportive management and team provide a family feel and a home from home approach to childcare focusing on lots of love, nurture and care as priorities alongside our child centred curriculum.
We are proud of creating lots of bright, beautiful and exciting spaces for the children to play and explore providing the highest quality childcare to children aged from 3 months to 5 years.
We take great pride in being part of the vibrant town of Tunbridge Wells and are looking forward to extending and creating further links within the local community with Primary schools and additional services to further support our families with local exciting opportunities.
We are part of an award-winning nursery group, offering high quality childcare in our specially equipped nursery for children aged three months to five years old.
Adding to this, we tailor our care to suit your child’s age. We achieve this by placing children into the following age categories: babies aged three to twelve months, toddlers from 12 to 24 months & toddlers aged 24 months to 36 months, and lastly preschool aged three to five years. Due to our rooms being equipped especially for these ages, we are able to provide that home-from-home feel.
We are very lucky to have extensive outdoor spaces in the nursery and a separate area for both babies and the older children to play and explore. Our outdoor environment offers a rich multi-sensory environment that is full of fun, stimulating and motivating activities for the children and we have specifically created indoor garden areas so all the children are able to enjoy the outdoors all year round.

Today 8 of our friends popped back into Evenflow to give over some vouchers for a free hot drink from Monkey Puzzle Tunbridge Wells! 🐵❤️
As the sun was shining on our way back, we popped into a local park to do some exploring and climbing! ☀️We used our shape magnifiers to see the world around us and noticed the changes in the colours on some of the leaves.🌿 We had such a lovely time out today and are so pleased to be welcoming Spring!💐🌷🌻🌺

This week, we celebrated Monkey Puzzle Tunbridge Wells turn 4 years old! 🥳
4 years ago, we opened our doors and today we are incredibly proud of the happy, warm and welcoming environment we have created for all our children and families that walk through our doors everyday👨👩👧👦❤️
We celebrated by having lots of party games, dancing, party lunch and lots of birthday themed activities throughout the days! 💃🎁

📚LIBRARY VISIT📚
Following on from our super exciting day yesterday celebrating world book day, 10 of our toddlers enjoyed a trip to the Amelia Scott library on this lovely sunny Friday morning! ☀️
We took over the town with all of our prams, and waved to lots our friends in their local businesses. The library was lovely and quiet, giving us free rein of the books and allowing us to explore all our favourites. 📚🌎WORLD BOOK DAY 2025🌎📚
Today we have had a wonderful time celebrating world book day! We were delighted to see so many of the children and staff dressed up as their favourite book characters! 📚
We had so much fun reading lots of stories today and discussing our costumes. We had a very strange occurrence when the Pre-school room had a knock at the door…..it was only the Tiger who came to tea! ☕️🐅
Instilling a love of reading from a young age is at the heart of everything we do! Stories can be used as a powerful tool to enhance language skills, support life transitions, encourage a child’s imaginative skills and foster higher levels of concentration. 🧠

🥞PANCAKE DAT AT MPTW🥞
We had the most fabulous day yesterday celebrating pancake day throughout the Nursery! We saw lots of creative ideas, our favourites being the playdough pancakes and paper pancakes! 🧑🍳
The children had such fun discussing what they like on their pancakes and for some of our babies this was their first pancake day, so we had so much fun introducing them to all the different toppings they could try later at home! 🍋🍓🍫
The children were introduced to how pancakes are made and what ingredients are used, along with being shown how to “flip” the pancakes to cook the, on both sides! We encouraged the children to use their hand-eye co-ordination and to attempt to flip their own pancakes! We finished off by discussing kitchen safety, especially surrounding stove tops and how we must not touch ovens at home! 👷♀️

Looks like fun
Happy anniversaries!
Last week we had 3 staff members celebrate their length of services!
⭐️We started with Indi who has been with us for 1 year! Indi is based in our toddler room and forms very strong bonds with the children. Indi is extremely caring towards the children, and adores messy play and sensory games for the children! ⭐️
⭐️Next, we celebrated Sarah B who has been with us as a Deputy Room Leader for 2 years! Sarah works in the investigators room with our 2-3 year olds. Sarah always receives such lovely feedback from our families, who value the time she spends ensuring they receive thorough handovers about their day. The team all comment how lovely and supportive Sarah is towards them all! ⭐️
⭐️Lastly, we celebrated 4 years with Katie K! Katie joined us just as the nursery was opening and has recently come back from maternity leave. Katie has amazing bonds with the children and has watched them grow and develop through the nursery. Katie has shared her experience working with our discovers team and now our Investigators team⭐️

💜Kindness potion💜
Our babies have continued to learn all about kindness and our golden rules of “kind words, kind hands and kind feet!” Kelsey decided to set up a kindness potion, filled with flowers and with the intent to encourage the babies to share with one another.
Our babies adore messy play and had so much fun being hands on and exploring the various textures! It was so lovely to see the babies grasp the concept of giving, as they passed the flowers to their friends and teachers! 🌹🪻🌸🌺🌷🌻🌼
The children naturally begun to explore the pouring element to the activity and had so much fun transferring the coloured water between the jugs and bowls.

☕️Coffee shop kindness☕️
Today 10 of our Inventors set out for a walk, stopping off in Evenflow to read some stories about kind. The children listened to “Bee kind🐝” and “Koalas kindness🐨.” We then discussed ways we are kind to one another, and gave examples of things we can do to make others smile. We also drew some artwork for Evenflow to show ways we show kindness within the Nursery.
We are delighted to share that we will be supporting the local community by rolling out a “pay it forward” scheme with Evenflow in the coming months! 💗
