Welcome to Monkey Puzzle Tunbridge Wells

Monkey Puzzle Tunbridge Wells is located at 32-34, St Johns Road, Tunbridge Wells. Our nursery is close to the A26 and only a short drive from Tunbridge Wells train station, making us perfect for families working in the local area or commuting to the town centre.

Our friendly and supportive management and team provide a family feel and a home from home approach to childcare focusing on lots of love, nurture and care as priorities alongside our child centred curriculum.

We are proud of creating lots of bright, beautiful and exciting spaces for the children to play and explore providing the highest quality childcare to children aged from 3 months to 5 years.

We take great pride in being part of the vibrant town of Tunbridge Wells and are looking forward to extending and creating further links within the local community with Primary schools and additional services to further support our families with local exciting opportunities.

We are part of an award-winning nursery group, offering high quality childcare in our specially equipped nursery for children aged three months to five years old.

Adding to this, we tailor our care to suit your child’s age. We achieve this by placing children into the following age categories: babies aged three to twelve months, toddlers from 12 to 24 months & toddlers aged 24 months to 36 months, and lastly preschool aged three to five years. Due to our rooms being equipped especially for these ages, we are able to provide that home-from-home feel.

We are very lucky to have extensive outdoor spaces in the nursery and a separate area for both babies and the older children to play and explore. Our outdoor environment offers a rich multi-sensory environment that is full of fun, stimulating and motivating activities for the children and we have specifically created indoor garden areas so all the children are able to enjoy the outdoors all year round.

Hello. I’m Arlind and I am the Owner of Monkey Puzzle Tunbridge Wells. My team and I are dedicated to and passionate about giving every child the best start in life by caring for and supporting them to play, learn and grow in a positive and stimulating environment.

I would love to welcome and show you around our beautiful nursery setting so please get in touch.

🥰Trip out in Tunbridge Wells🥰
Some of the preschool children enjoyed a trip to Tesco, the intent for this trip was to explore the community and learn how to purchase baking ingredients in the shop🍪. On the way to the shop the children looked left and right before crossing the roads, telling us that we must press the button at the traffic lights🚦 and wait for the green man and the 'beeps'....unfortunately the traffic lights didn't make the beeping sound so the adults and children made it themselves😂 The children all took it in turns to find the ingredients on the shelves, they then told us that we needed to pay and helped scan the items. Lovely sensible walking Preschool!!

🥰Healthy body, Happy me🥰
Today the focus has been on how to relax, but also what our families can do to continue our learning at home!

The babies were looking at relaxation through blowing bubbles, our parents have shared that lots of our babies love bath time as a way of relaxing. The team have been singing the song 'I had a little turtle' whilst popping the bubbles, we would like to encourage the parents to support the babies with singing this song at home!🎵

We have also been creating lots of dens and cosy corners to help the children relax and self regulate, this is something that can be done at home with some old bedsheets/blankets and some fairy lights! The children love hiding themselves away and having some peace and quiet away from their peers.

Our children have been looking at different yoga poses and what this does to their body and mind to help them relax, these Yoga poses have been shared with the Preschool parents to continue these at home. 💆‍♀️

The pre-schoolers have also been learning some new life skills, this follows on from our visit from the police and looking at people who help us! They will be so excited to share their new skill at home, they have learnt why and how we put someone in the recovery position. We would love to work alongside our families to continue this learning at home. 🚑

The children here have been exploring their curiosity!

Our babies and toddlers have been looking at different fruit and vegetables and exploring where these come from, by digging them out of the dirt!🥕🫑 The toddlers have also been exploring their curiosity by discovering some new textures!

Investigators have shown their curiosity in the water tray, working out what they can do to create the biggest amount of bubbles, the children had so much fun splashing and blowing the bubbles!🧼 The children also carried out a science experiment looking at germs and how we can get rid of them using soap!🦠

Inventors have been looking at what floats and what sinks using water and toys from around the room. They have also been mixing a variety of different materials to see what scientific reactions they can make!🧪 Some of the children showed their curiosity through a maths activity, seeing if they could place 2 shapes together to create a new one!

Good mix of activities, they always look so engrossed.

🚓Police Visit🚓

Yesterday our preschool children had a visit from the police, the children were so excited to share their knowledge with the police officers! They have learnt that you call 999 in an emergency and that the police help us follow the rules in the community, the children linked this to our golden rules!👮‍♀️👮

The police officers let the children try on some of their uniform and taught the children what important things they do to help people, they also had the opportunity to explore the police car!🚓

I bet they enjoyed this .

Today the team have been looking at lots of stories with the children for the topic 'tell stories with me'.

The babies have been doing some mark making looking at the colours and the vehicles in the books and recreating the marks they could see.🚗

Our toddlers have been feeding the bears whilst reading goldilocks, looking at the different sized bowls and spoons for the different sized bears!🐻

Investigators have been creating their own rainbow fish, they then did a role play fishing activity, catching the fish they had created.🐠

Preschool have been creating their own puppet shows to retell stories, they have also been drawing some of the dinosaurs out of one of their favourite books. The children in Preschool love creating their own stories using their imagination, they all take it in turns to create the next part of the story, this is brilliant as it not only uses their imagination, but also teaches the children about the structure of a story. 📚

Hope they liked the books Holly bought in from her childhood

🥰Healthy body, Happy Me🥰

Todays focus was 'Play with me', the team are always carrying out lots of engaging activities for the children in all the rooms.

Explorers did painting with the balls, rolling them through all the different colours creating new and exciting patterns and marks, they then helped to wash them off after the activity! They also practiced their hand eye coordination playing some basket ball in the garden!🏀

Discoverers made some musical instruments, a particular favourite for the children were their harmonicas, we hope the parents love these as mush as we do!😂

Investigators have been making patterns using string and paint, creating their own shapes whilst getting nice and messy! 🎨

Inventors have been creating their own super hero masks and discussing what they want their super power to be! 🦸‍♂️
